I am delighted to invite you to our in-person and Zoom hybrid Illinois Prescribing Psychologists' Seventeenth Networking Dinner Event on Saturday, August 23, 2025, beginning at 7:00 pm CDT at my home in Chicago. It has been a challenging year for many of our patients and for healthcare providers! I am very much looking forward to being together again and sharing milestones achieved as well as challenges encountered.
With great anticipation, we are particularly happy to announce that we will be honoring Dr. Thomas Lee at this networking dinner. Dr. Lee has worked as a board certified psychiatrist at the Ascension Center for Mental Health in Arlington Heights, IL. Most significantly, he has been the principal clinical supervisor of the AMITA/Presence/Ascension Health prescribing psychology fellowship, from the program's inception; was a major contributor to the development of our training program; and trained most of the 22 practicing prescribing psychologists in Illinois. Dr. Lee has told us that "training the RxP Fellows has been one of the highlights of my career!" Dr. Lee is retiring in August 2025. I am thrilled to celebrate Dr. Lee with all of you on our special evening!
We will also have the pleasure of a tutorial on the work of BlueGenes Labs with CEO Nick Glimcher and Consultant Jerome (Jro) Bernardes. The focus of BlueGenes Labs is to help prescribers improve their treatment outcomes by obtaining an individual's DNA. The BlueGenes software would complement prescribers' work protocols. Dr. Kyle Bonesteel, Illinois' 7th prescribing psychologist, who is a BlueGenes client, has said: "patients are now expecting increased precision and BlueGenes could help us become more precise clinicians. This is a good tool for engendering trust with patients and enhancing efficacy."
Mark Taylor, our chief lobbying representative in our state legislature, will, at long last, join us in person, to talk about our legislative successes, as well as our frustrations, and our plan for our legislative agenda in '26.
As always, we will honor the milestones of both the practicing prescribing psychologists and those in training, and we will be hearing from Prescriptive Authority leaders and educators, around the country and around the globe, as they give us updates on their states'/countries’ RxP legislative advocacy progress. Please send your prescribing milestone updates directly to me.
Please use the form below to RSVP to our networking event.
Even if you have already responded, by email, or by a direct conversation with me, please be sure to RSVP with the form below. Thank-you so much!
We look very much forward to seeing all of you, either in-person or remotely, on Saturday, August 23rd, at 7 pm CDT!
Thank-you so much for your dedication and commitment to our burgeoning specialty of Prescribing Psychology! See you soon!
With very warm wishes as we cherish these last days of summer,
Beth
