I am thrilled to invite you to our in-person and Zoom hybrid Illinois Prescribing Psychologists’ Twelfth Biannual Networking Dinner Event on August 20th this summer!
Featured on our Program will be Dr. Marlin Hoover, one of the first civilian prescribing psychologists in the U.S.; an educator on Clinical Psychopharmacology for decades; founder of Hoover and Associates, a large private practice in the southwestern Chicago suburbs; and, formerly, a faculty member of the Southern New Mexico Family Residency at Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dr. Joshua Wolff, adjunct professor, Adler University and government contractor in higher education policy, will be speaking about his mentoring of graduate students as they have prepared to do the Master’s training in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Wolff will also talk about his work with higher education policy formulation, as pertains to the education and training of LGBTQ+ students. Dr. Corey Dabney, CEO and Chairman, Dabney Behavioral Health, in Chicago will give us an update on our work to achieve Medicaid reform in Illinois. Mark Taylor, our chief IAPP lobbyist in the firm, Taylor Uhe, will give us an update on our legislative goals for 2022-2023.
In addition to hearing our keynote speakers, we will be learning about the current practice experiences of our 13 Illinois licensed prescribing psychologists; and the training experiences and career aspirations of our prescribing psychology trainees, who are both practicing psychologists and psychology graduate students. We will honor the milestones of both the practicing prescribing psychologists and those in training. Finally, we will be hearing from Prescriptive Authority leaders and educators, from around the country, as they give us updates on their states’ RxP legislative advocacy progress.
Please use this LINK to RSVP to our networking event. Please respond by August 1st. Even if you have already responded, by email, or by a direct conversation with me, please be sure to RSVP with this link. Thank-you so much!
Because we will be doing an indoor, maskless program and because of the diminishing, but ongoing concerns with Covid, we will be asking all in-person participants to send proof of their double vaccination status plus booster(s), prior to our event. We will also be asking our in-person participants to be 5 days beyond a known Covid exposure; and to be symptom-free on the day of the event. For those who will be joining us, remotely, we will be sending our Zoom link prior to the event.
We look very much forward to seeing all of you, either in-person or remotely, on Saturday, August 20th, at 7 pm!
